Ash Arb Training specialise in providing a dedicated range of training courses, helping our clients/candidates learn the essential skills to succeed and excel in the Arboriculture industry. Courses are open to all. You are all welcome to do a course and get a Lantra/N.P.T.C/ City and Guilds qualification.
We have a dedicated classroom with toilet facilities and car parking. There are local cafes near by.
All our Lantra approved courses are run outside at different sites. Information will be given prior to the course starting. We have access to a local estate with over a 1000 acres of forest. There is no shortage of trees to be felled or to be climbed. Depending on what courses you choose do. Come and train in a stress free environment. Surrounded by natural forest and woodland. A training experience you wont forget.

Candidates are required to bring there own equipment. And tools to support that equipment. If this is not possible ash arb training will provide the equipment to use on the courses. When doing Woodchipper and Stumgrinder courses ash arb training will provide the machines.
PPE (personel protective equipment) specific to the course you wish to do. You will be advised when you register on a course what equipment/PPE you need to bring.
Bring a packed lunch and drinks.
Wet weather clothing. Courses will be run in the rain.

If you already have these qualifications, we do refresher courses which is normally advised every 3/5 years, to keep you up to date with the latest industry standards and health and safety.

This course gives candidates the knowledge and experience of how to identify hazardous tree's. Determine the level of risk and decide on an appropriate course of action. The day's course is a mixture of classroom and outdoor teaching where you have a hands on approach in inspecting tree's and recording your finding's on a check sheet. Then determining the necessary course of actions to deal with hazardous tree's.

This is a one day course to learn how to use a clearing saw. This unique versatile piece of equipment is a game changer when cutting areas of small trees or new growth trees. By learning different cutting techniques you will be surprised how useful this tool really is. You can utilise your brush cutting tool that you already have to a clearing saw. By fitting the relevant guard and saw blade and getting the qualification to operate. A course worth doing and another skill to add to your portfolio.
